High Maintenance Woman finally goes straight, cont.
Like most routines that get results, Stella warned that at times a good rolfing could get
painful. "I highly recommend rolfer, Jean-Pierre el-Rif", she gushed. "He's incredibly
sensitive to people's pain thresholds and will ask you to rate your pain on a scale of one to 10; he makes
sure he never goes above a six."
To get the best results, Stella told the girls, you really need to do a rolfing series, which involves signing
up for 10 individual sessions, each of which concentrates on a different area of the body. Stella
herself had just completed session seven ("a life-changing experience"), which involved Jean-Pierre donning a
pair of surgical gloves and massaging her gums and the roof of her mouth to realign her painfully stiff jaw
and free her from grinding her teeth in her sleep, a habit she admitted had cost her a small fortune in
veneers. "What does session eight involve?" asked an awestruck Patsy Percivill. "Lower
limb and pelvic girdle work," replied the perfectly poised Stella, with a smug smile. "Hmm,"
thought Patsy, "I will most definately be signing up for that."
